I’m photographer Johanna Glans — a natural-light photographer based in Sibbo (Sipoo). Wedding photography is one of my core strengths: I approach weddings with a documentary mindset so that the day’s genuine moments and emotions are recorded as natural, beautiful memories. In my images I look for light and quiet moments just as much as big bursts of laughter and touching glances. Documentary wedding photography, for me, is storytelling. I often photograph the flow of the day from preparations through to the evening, and I make sure the couple can enjoy the moments without unnecessary posing pressure. In our planning meeting we go through the day’s schedule, key locations and your most important wishes — and above all we get to know each other so that on the wedding day the photography feels natural and calm. My style relies on using available natural light: I search for beautiful light and moments that tell your story. Wedding portraits, first-look moments, the ceremony, evening celebrations and the dances — all these moments form a whole that I document with a sensitive and unobtrusive approach. I want the images to carry you back to those emotional memories even years from now. I also offer engagement photography sessions that are ideal for preparing ahead of the wedding or as a gift for partners. In engagement shoots I focus on natural connection and a relaxed atmosphere, creating images that show the chemistry between you.
