I’m Sami Siilin, a wedding photographer based in Mellunkylä who works with passion and a calm, unobtrusive approach. My speciality is documentary wedding photography: I aim to create images that not only look beautiful today but also transport you back to the moment years from now. I operate from Helsinki and photograph weddings across Finland and internationally. My style is discreet and narrative. During the ceremony and reception I strive to be present without directing the day — this lets spontaneous moments and genuine emotions be captured naturally. For wedding portraits I create a relaxed, intimate atmosphere: with gentle guidance and conversation I help couples forget the camera and be themselves. This approach produces authentic, timeless portraits that reflect your relationship. Work with me always starts with a conversation and a planning meeting. I want to understand your wishes, the day’s schedule and the moments that matter most to you. Good planning helps me be in the right place at the right time and ensures photos are taken in the best possible light. After the wedding I carefully review and edit the images, then deliver them via a convenient online gallery so the couple can easily share and select their favourites. High-resolution files and print-ready images are provided, and album design is available on request. While wedding photography is my primary focus, I also offer complementary services that many couples appreciate: short wedding portrait films are often captured alongside portrait sessions, and I can collaborate on corporate or event photography when required. These additional services are offered as supportive options — the main emphasis remains on creating a thoughtful record of your wedding day.
