I’m Kati Koskenmäki-Towa / Kati KT Photography, a wedding photographer based in Kaarela who seeks to capture the genuine emotions of your day without polished artifice. If I had to describe my images in one word, it would be honest — I aim for photographs that tell your story as it happens: tender, moving and authentic. My speciality is documentary wedding photography and engagement photography. I approach your day as an attentive observer: looking for details, spontaneous interactions and the small moments that often go unnoticed. My working style is calm and gentle — I want you to feel no pressure to perform, so you can be present and trust that the moments will be recorded naturally and with feeling. We’ll have a personal planning meeting where I listen to your wishes, review the schedule and consider how your personalities and the occasion can best be conveyed in the images. Planning is an important part of my process; good preparation helps create a relaxed shooting atmosphere and frees you to enjoy the day fully. I favour natural light and muted tones in my photography, but when needed I also use studio equipment or flash to support the mood. My role as a photographer is present yet discreet — like a third wheel that feels right for you. My hope is that looking at the photos years from now will bring you straight back to the moment and its feeling. I primarily work in Kaarela and the Greater Helsinki area, but I’m available to travel by arrangement.
