I'm Karoliina — a wedding photographer based in Herttoniemi whose passion is to capture love stories with an emotive and natural style. My wedding photography emphasizes documentary storytelling: I look for moments, expressions and details that tell the story of your day exactly as it was experienced. Natural light, a calm atmosphere and authenticity are at the core of my work. In my approach I aim to help you feel relaxed and present. During a planning meeting we’ll go through your wishes, the key moments and the photographic style — this preparation makes the day flow more smoothly and allows genuine emotion to appear in the images. As a wedding photographer I want to be more than just a person with a camera: my presence is discreet yet warm so you can enjoy the day without unnecessary posing. Engagement sessions (engagement or couple shoots) are a natural part of the wedding journey for me. A pre-wedding couple session gives us a chance to get to know each other, test locations and create images you can use for invitations or thank-you cards. Often engagement photos reveal the character and ease of your relationship — they’re a lovely rehearsal for the portrait moments on the wedding day. My working method is based on gentle guidance, movement and the pursuit of spontaneous moments. I find it important that the shoot feels safe and even fun for you — running, laughter and small gestures all belong in the session. That’s how truly touching images are created, images that withstand the test of time. I work mainly in the Helsinki metropolitan area and especially in Herttoniemi, but I’m happy to travel when the situation calls for it.
