Photographer Mikko Kaaresmaa is a Turku-based wedding photographer whose work marries a documentary approach with atmospheric use of light. Before the day, you meet and plan together: choosing locations that suit you, timing key light moments and discussing potential first-look or engagement portraits. Shoots can take place in a studio, in charming manor settings or out in nature — the Turku region, Ruissalo, Brinkhall and the Kuusisto castle ruins are places where Mikko often works and knows how to use the existing atmosphere to your advantage. On the wedding day the focus is on you. Mikko aims to make the photography effortless, avoids unnecessary direction and lets the moment unfold.
