I’m Julia Lillqvist, a wedding photographer based in Turku whose passion is telling your couple’s story through images. My specialty is documentary wedding photography: I look for genuine moments, surrounding emotions and small details that together build the visual story of your day. I combine a documentary approach with a subtle fine art aesthetic — the result is timeless images that feel both honest and beautiful. My working method is collaborative: we begin by discussing your wishes and what makes your day unique. I plan the shooting day so I have room to document moments without asking you to stop constantly. Engagement sessions are a wonderful way to practice being in front of the camera and to create pre-wedding memories that integrate seamlessly into your wedding story. In post-production I aim for a natural, warm look and often deliver images in both color and black & white — each version tells the story in its own way. I deliver the final story carefully organized, and if you wish, images can also be finished as physical fine art prints. I primarily work in Turku, but I follow couples across Finland and throughout Europe.
