Maarimanna specialises in wedding photography and works across the Mikkeli region with the aim of creating genuine, lasting memories. I approach your wedding day in a documentary and atmospheric style: I look for the small, easily overlooked moments — the laughter, the glance, the closeness — that honestly tell your story. I choose a shooting style that preserves the natural atmosphere of the celebration so the images never feel staged. I also draw on my experience in couple portraits to calm moments and reveal authenticity, whether it’s an intimate portrait session or a quick couple shot in the middle of a busier day. This blend of documentary observation and softer portrait language offers a balanced gallery that works both as a record of the day and as a crafted visual story. My working style is warm and personal. We usually begin with a meeting where I listen to your wishes and learn the day’s schedule — this helps the shoot run smoothly and ensures the important moments are captured. On the wedding day I aim to be present but unobtrusive, so you can be present with each other. In post-production I carefully select and edit the images, preserving natural colours and the mood of each moment. I also offer engagement (engagement session) shoots, which are an excellent opportunity to practise being photographed together and to build trust before the big day. An engagement session gives you a calm moment as a couple and helps you feel more relaxed and confident in front of the camera when the wedding day arrives.
