I’m Lasse Hurmalainen, a wedding photographer based in Lahti with deep roots in photography. My interest in images began some 40 years ago, and in 2010 I founded my business to better serve couples on their wedding day. Wedding photography is my passion — I aim to capture the moments that make your day uniquely yours. My style is built on a documentary approach combined with considered portrait work. I strive to be present without causing unnecessary disruption: many images are created naturally, spontaneously and emotionally as events unfold, while I also take time for intimate portrait sessions where the couple can relax and be photographed in their own way. The end result is carefully shot and polished photographs that show both big emotions and small details. My working method is calm and client-focused. Before the wedding we go through your wishes together — the important moments, locations and any special requests. On the day I work flexibly, offering gentle direction when needed but otherwise staying in the background so the moments remain genuine. In post-processing I listen to your preferences; for example I can prepare images in black-and-white or sepia if that suits your vision. I mainly operate in the Lahti area and nearby municipalities, but I’m happy to travel further to document weddings elsewhere. In wedding photography I value warmth, reliability and clear communication — which is why many couples say they felt comfortable and relaxed during the shoot.
