I'm Lasse — an upbeat wedding photographer from Oulu who has been telling couples' stories for over ten years. My wedding photography combines storytelling, situational awareness and a warm, personal touch: I look for the genuine moments that make your day uniquely yours. I specialize in documentary wedding photography and in directing wedding portraits so that the atmosphere stays natural and relaxed. My working style is client-focused and warm. I don't want the shoot to feel like a performance — instead we build moments together where emotion and interaction come through. A planning meeting before the wedding helps me understand your wishes, locations and schedule; it builds the trust that shows in the photos. For portraits I give clear, practical guidance and suggestions so posing feels natural even for couples who are less used to being in front of the camera. My photographic style is joyful, lively and timeless. I aim to strengthen the mood of an image so it recalls the real feeling of the moment — subtly enhanced rather than exaggerated. When needed I use soft fill light to bring gentle illumination to faces and eyes, and I take care of finishing the images with a long-term perspective: I don’t follow fleeting trends, but aim for photographs you’ll want to return to decades from now. On the wedding day I rely on experience and the ability to read situations — I’m often in the right place at the right time, but my role is also to be unobtrusive when that best serves the atmosphere. Offering engagement and pre-wedding sessions is a natural part of my work: these relaxed shoots provide a chance to get familiar with the photography process and produce a beautiful collection of portraits you can use for your wedding day or invitations. I mainly serve Oulu and the Northern Ostrobothnia area and approach each couple individually.
