I’m David Huovelin, a photographer and videographer from Joensuu — wedding photography is the work closest to my heart. My passion and creativity guide my approach: I aim to capture the genuine moments, emotions and subtle details of your day in a way that endures. I work mainly across North Karelia, bringing the local landscapes and atmosphere into the images so that each moment gains added meaning from its surroundings. In wedding photography I take an individual approach to each couple. I don’t force a particular style; instead I listen to your wishes and shape the day around them — from calm, documentary coverage to atmospheric, carefully edited portraits. My goal is that couples can forget the camera and live the moment freely while I ensure that the important events and feelings are recorded as honest material. Aerial drone photography is one of my strengths: drone photos and footage give wedding imagery a fresh perspective, highlighting both the venue’s location and the beauty of the natural surroundings. I use high-quality equipment and safe working practices so aerial captures support the whole wedding story in a stylish, natural way. Videography complements the still images and tells the day’s story as a moving whole. I create atmospheric, clear wedding films that emphasize the feeling of the moment without unnecessary drama — honestly and with presence. My experience is not limited to weddings: I’ve shot many events and fast-paced occasions, so I’m accustomed to the speed and surprises of live moments.
