PhotoArt by Katja (Katja Koivumäki) is known in the Kemi area for sensitive, genuinely human wedding images. Wedding photography is one of my core services: my aim is to record the emotions and fleeting moments of your day as they are experienced — without excessive posing, yet with careful professional skill. I work both in my studio in Kemi and in natural locations. Studio sessions create intimate wedding portraits, where light, background and gentle direction combine to produce timeless portraits. On-location shoots make use of the character of the surroundings and local landscapes, and I can complement the coverage with drone aerial photography when dramatic overhead shots are desired. I also offer engagement sessions, often used before the wedding day or for invitations and wedding materials. My approach is gentle and collaborative: before the wedding we will discuss your wishes, locations and what matters most to you. On the day itself, moments can be unpredictable, so I combine documentary readiness to capture spontaneous emotions with calm, unhurried direction for portraits. During shoots I aim to create a relaxed and trusting atmosphere — the more at ease my clients are, the more natural the images. Practically, I deliver an online gallery to clients roughly one week after the shoot and provide the final images as a downloadable package in a folder with a download link. Clients may also order high-quality prints and other photo products directly through me. I have experience with both intimate ceremonies and full-day weddings, covering portrait sessions, the ceremony and the reception as required.
